AMERICAN IMAGE ART
AIA Stories
Art, Writing, Music, Dance, Film , Architecture and collaborations of these and more is what we are about and perpetually up to. We love beautiful things in any incarnation and have been fortunate enough to create many beautiful things with some of the most amazing people this great earth has produced.
BOOK of LOVE
In the 1990s I had been curating a series of annual events titled AMERICAN MASTERS which showed at Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro, Museum of Modern Art, Sao Paulo and other museums across Brazil. I had put Indiana in one of the exhibitions and created with him AMOR, an instant hit in Brazil. A number of artists from my generation felt Indiana, an artist I connected with since I was 13, considered Indiana washed up, a burn out and irrelevant.
FOUR SEASONS of HOPE
For artists of Indiana’s generation, the Four Seasons Restaurant, sadly gone, was a High Temple of Art. It was designed by Philip Johnson, the Dean of American Architects and a Kingmaker of Artists.
“Bringing HOPE to the world.”
In Spring of 2008 I spent several days with Robert Indiana, with whom I had been both friends and a collaborator with for decades. Bob complained that everyone knew Love but no one knew who he was.

I was hooked on Pop Art right there and it is less than a coincidence that I ended up working with those three geniuses on numerous projects. READ MORE
